What happens in an audiobook studio session:
We’re located just 1 minute from two tube stations in Hammersmith, West London. First of all you’ll be greeted by one of our experienced audio producers who will look after you through the day. We only work on one project at a time, so you’ll have our full attention. This is vital to ensure a great performance!
Our engineer will listen out for lip smacks, odd breaths, page rustling and missed or slipped words. Also we take care of all the technicalities to ensure a premium quality recording. This means so you can relax and bring your book to life.
We start with a briefing and an introduction to the audiobook studio. Together we’ll decide how long each recording block should be. Plus we’ll explain the process for editing errors and mistakes. Our audio producer can even assist with voice coaching too, if required.
We estimate that a typical reader can record approximately 3,000 words of finished audio per hour. So in a recording day we’ll aim to record around 21,000 words of finished audio.
